The gloomy weather seemed to mirror the growing unrest among many progressive groups as they trooped to the People Power Monument, pouring out their outrage and frustration over the delays in the Senate regarding Vice President Sara Duterte’s conviction trial.
Their message was loud and clear. Marching in damp shirts soaked with sweat and rain, their reverberating chants not only echoed along the long roads of EDSA, but their militancy was also expressed through creative, witty, and hard-hitting art, particularly with the Marcos-Duterte effigies, bold streamers, and clever placards that called out impunity and demanded accountability.
