Over 100,000 Filipinos flooded Luneta Park in Manila, yesterday, September 21, in a protest that they called “Baha sa Luneta: Aksyon na Laban sa Korapsyon”, a movement aimed at calling for accountability to those involved in state corruption, neglect, and siphoning billions public funds through anomalous flood control projects under the Marcos Jr. administration.
The protest also coincided with the 53rd Martial Law anniversary, the protesters were challenged to follow in the steps of the people who struggled for democracy and genuine freedom 53 years ago.
