“Ka Randy did not die in vain. He died as a well-loved hero and martyr of the peasant and people’s movement. His lifelong struggle for land, justice, and peace is worth emulating,” says Erlinda Lacaba-Echanis, widow of Randall Echanis.
Family, friends and colleagues of ‘Ka Randy’ or those who knew him or have been in different ways part of his enduring advocacies and love for the people joined a funeral caravan from Quezon City to Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina.
