On the night of Labor Day, Metro Manila-based alliance of cultural groups Sining Bugkos spearheaded an online cultural night, “Daluyong, Isang Gabi ng Pagtatanghal Para sa Uring Manggagawa,” on their Facebook page.
The group performed original songs by Musicians for Peace, visual art by Ugatlahi Artists’ Collective, poetry by Liga ng Kabataang Propagandista and classic worker anthems by Sining Ang Bala ng Kabataan. The night is dedicated to all workers amid the heavy-handedly implemented lockdown and economic paralyzation.

Union leaders in the metro expressed solidarity and morale-boosting greetings on the said occasion while forced to stay indoors.
At the end of the series of performances is a digital 3-D effigy by Ugatlahi Artist Collective depicting the Philippine president as the novel coronavirus.
