By day 8 of the quarantine of National Capital Region (NCR), various local government units (LGUs) have imposed either ‘extreme enhanced community quarantine’ in certain areas within their jurisdiction to prevent community transmission.
Other LGUs have passed an ordinance for ’24-hour curfew’ with some exemptions (fromtliners, peace and order personnel, workers for basic commodities and one per household to buy food from time to time). The Department of Interior and Local Government explained that this is just the same as the guidelines of the enhanced community quarantine or total lockdown imposed over Luzon that orders everyone to ‘stay at home.’
Still, like us who document the lives of the people in NCR, people can’t help but go out to do their jobs. Others simply have no homes.
