The Philippines recorded the all-time highest active number of COVID-19 cases in the country throughout the pandemic listing a total of 291,618 active cases; 32,744 new cases were added today, January 21, 2022.

On August 15, 2020, the Department of Health listed the highest number of COVID-19 active cases at 83,109. Last April 17, 2021, the country had its highest number of active cases listing 203,710 cases.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila logs additional 7,279 new COVID-19 cases with a total of 108,804 active cases listed as of today.

In the recent data from the Department of Health COVID-19 Tracker, Quezon City continues to lead as the top municipality in Metro Manila with the highest confirmed cases listing a total number of 1,260 new cases and 22,624 total active cases with an average 89.2% recovery rate and 1.0% fatality rate.

Meanwhile, Pateros remains as the municipality with the lowest confirmed COVID-19 cases with 82 new cases listing 905 active cases, garnering 9,982 total cases throughout the pandemic.
