Members of underground cultural artists group Artista at Manunulat ng Sambayanan-Marlon Caacbay (ARMAS – MC) posted artworks and wrote on walls along EDSA Avenue in time for its 37th commemoration on January 13.
The group recognizes the people’s war as a primary solution to imperialism, bureaucratic capitalism and feudalism being the fundamental problems that oppress millions of Filipinos.
ARMAS MC also lambasts the prevailing bourgeois-decadent culture as reflected in arts and literature. They added and stood firm that arts and literature play an integral part to struggle against the oppressive system especially under the US and China-backed Marcos-Duterte regime.
