Groups continue to voice their condemnation on the killing of peasant activist Randall Echanis on August 10.
A second protest was held on the Commission on Human Rights in Quezon City despite Metro Manila being placed under lockdown or modified enhanced community quarantine.
Echanis’ remains were returned to the family only two days after police held it for ‘lack of release order’ and the need to ‘confirm the identity of the body.’
