After 46 new cases of health workers infected with COVID-19 were reported on May 31, the Department of Health (DOH) reported 63 more on June 1. The total is now at 2,669 and 27 new active cases were added.

Still, the DOH maintained the cases among health workers continue to go down. They have previously said that the decline in new cases among health workers started since April 11.

There were 36 new recoveries reported and no new death since May 31.

The DOH also updated the reported deaths by profession to correct previous inconsistencies. While most cases of COVID-19 are from nurses, most deaths came from doctors, accounting for 80% of the deaths among healthworkers.
