Duterte personally addressed human rights lawyer Atty. Chel Diokno in his surprise address around 11pm on April 3.
Ito si Chel Diokno sinabi pa niya na, “Sige ako magdepensa sa inyo.” Alam mo, Chel Diokno, kayong mga oposisyon, dilaw, huwag ninyong pilitin ang pagkatao ninyo na magsali sa gobyerno. Kayo, nag-sigeng tapon-tapon ng black propaganda kasi malapit na ang eleksyon.
The Chief Executive digressed to his wanting the COVID-19 funds to be used properly, yearning for a vaccine for COVID-19 such as a facility in Muntinlupa that collects venom from snakes so that horses would not die from snake bites as the how a vaccine works before he went back to Diokno and hurled personal insults against the human rights lawyer. Duterte’s analogy might be about an antivenom, not a vaccine.
Duterte said he was impressed with Diokno’s father but not the child.

Duterte said Diokno should get his bucktooth sharpened or polished.

Prior to this attack directed at him, Diokno has posted about being counsel for persons being summoned by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for spreading fake news, with the summons not indicating the posts in question.
Duterte challenged Diokno to bring 10 people with him to Luneta and see if he does not get arrested.
He said that Diokno is an ‘intellectual liar’ in his questioning of Air Force’s purchase of an airplane during the COVID-19 crisis. The airplane was ordered and delivered a long time ago, said Duterte.

By noon, a fake quote attributed to Diokno circulated online. Diokno disproved the quote seen to be circulated by Duterte’s supporter.
