Metro Manila records 968 new COVID-19 cases raising the total active cases at 26,536 with 2,000 new recoveries and one death today, February 7, 2022.

The overall tally of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila reached 1,157,887 with 1,118,646 total recoveries and 11,705 total deaths since the pandemic began.

Meanwhile, Quezon City logs 190 additional new cases, much lower from the past week COVID-19 cases tally. The city already has a total of 5,399 active cases raising a total number of 242,003 confirmed cases, garnering an average of 96.8% recovery rate and 1.0% fatality rate.

The following is the breakdown of the COVID-19 cases in the cities in Metro Manila.

In the recent report from the Department of Health, all laboratories were operational last February 5. However, there are two (2) laboratories that contributed 0.2% of the sample tested and 0.1% of the positive cases were unable to submit their data in the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).

The Philippines now has 116,720 total active cases; 6,835 COVID-19 cases were added today with 16,314 new recoveries and 12 new deaths. Throughout the pandemic, the country recorded 3,616,387 total COVID-19 cases, 3,445,129 cases total recoveries and 54,538 total deaths.
