Metro Manila records additional 689 new COVID-19 cases listing a total of 25,255 active cases with  1,672 new recoveries and 11 new deaths as of today February 8, 2022.

The total COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila reached 1,157,289 with 1,120,318 total recoveries and 11,716 total deaths ever since the pandemic began.

In the recent data provided by the DOH COVID-19 Tracker, Quezon City logs 140 new cases, raising a 5,179 total active cases, still remaining as the city with the highest COVID-19 cases in Metro manila.

The city also has 242,085 confirmed cases; 234,521 recoveries and a total of 2,385 deaths throughout the pandemic, garnering an average of 96.9% recovery rate and 1.0% fatality rate.

The Department of Health reported that all laboratories were operational last February 6. However, there are six (6) laboratories that contributed 2.1% of the sample tested and 3.0% of the positive cases were unable to submit their data in the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).

Meanwhile, the country now has 105,550 total active cases; 3,574 new COVID-19 cases were listed today with 14,644 new recoveries and 83 deaths.

In the overall tally, the Philippines listed 3,619,633 total cases, 4,459,462 total recoveries and 54,621 total deaths.
