Last July 16, youth groups Anakbayan and Kabataan Partylist held a noise barrage in front of Krus na Ligas High School to protest against the K-12 program being implemented by the Department of Education.
According to Kabataan Partylist member Mitch Toledo, the K-12 program is designed to serve foreign interests.
The K-12 program covers 13 years of basic education. Once in effect, current senior high school students would not graduate as they will be required to take up an additional two years in compliance with K-12.
