Metro Manila records 398 additional COVID-19 infections, raising a total of 20,940 active cases and 1,161,619 total confirmed cases as of today, February 17, 2022.

In the recent data provided by the DOH COVID19 Tracker, Quezon city adds 57 new cases listing a total of 4,247 active cases, retaining its status as the city with the highest cases of COVID-19 in Metro Manila.

The city already has 242,785 total confirmed cases, with 236,131 total recoveries and 2,407 deaths since the start of the pandemic, garnering an average of 97.3% recovery rate and1.0% fatality rate.

The Department of Health reported that all laboratories were operational last February 15. However, there are three (3) laboratories that contributed to the 0.8% of the sample tested and 1.9% of the positive cases were unable to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).

In the overall tally, the Philippines logs 2,196 additional coronavirus infections, raising a total of 66,588 active cases and 3,646,793 total confirmed cases throughout the entire years of the pandemic.
