The Department of Health (DOH) Beat COVID-19 Philippine Situationer with data as of August 9 recorded 85 new COVID-19 cases in a day among health workers, bringing the total to 5,551.
The DOH also reported 610 active cases among health workers, which is 58 cases more than yesterday. Of the active cases, 2 are critical, 5 severe, 442 mild and 161 asymptomatic.
A total of 166,498 individuals have tested positive, while the DOH have confirmed 129,913 COVID-19 cases. There is a difference of 36,585 cases that tested positive that the DOH have yet to validate to know whether this number be included in the confirmed cases.
