The Department of Health (DOH) Situationer Report with data as of August 6 recorded 61 new confirmed COVID-19 cases among health care workers, bringing the total cases to 5,387 or 4.5% of the cases in the country.
There was also 39 recoveries reported on August 6, with the total of recoveries reaching 4,853. No new deaths have been recorded as of August 2.
The DOH reported 119,980 COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country, while those who have tested positive have reached 155,570. The difference between confirmed and positive cases, which the DOH have yet to validate and deduplicate, climbed to 35,590. The Health agency also reported 6,501 testing backlogs as of August 6.
