58 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 26 recoveries among health workers on May 12

“Nitong mga nakaraang araw ay paunti na nang paunti ang nakikita nating health care workers na nagpopositibo,” Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said on May 13 in her regular press briefing.

[These past few days, we see less and less of health workers testing positive for COVID-19.]

New confirmed cases among health frontliners are up by 58. This number of cases comprised 22% of the 264 total new cases the DOH reported on May 12.

Of the frontliners in the health sector who tested positive for the coronavirus disease, 779 are nurses, 642 doctors, 132 nursing assistants, 73 medical technologists, 40 radiologic technologist and 221 non-medical staff.
