As of 4:00 PM today, COVID-19 cases in the country skyrocketed to 489,736. Of the total, 18,634 (84.3%) are exhibiting mild symptoms and 1,371 (6.2%) in critical condition.

Currently, there are 22,114 active cases with 2,052 (4.5%) added to the tally. With 10 (93.6%) new recoveries, a total of 458,206 have recovered. A total of 9, 416 have died, with 11 (1.92%) new deaths in a day.

In its daily tally, the DOH reported only 861 out of 18, 698 tested positive, with a 4.6% positivity rate for November 10.

National Capital Region remains to be on top of the total number of COVID-19 cases. Davao City, Quezon City, Cavite, Laguna, and the City of Manila recorded the highest number of cases for today. The cumulative positivity rate in the country remains high at. There is a consistent delay in reports of data from testing laboratories.

Based on the recent summary of data prepared by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Philippines has now surpassed Indonesia and ranked 1st in COVID – 19 mortality rate. The values covered the frequency of deaths due to COVID-19 per country from March 2020 to January 2021.

Further, there are still no confirmed cases of the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and South Africa variant of the novel coronavirus in the Philippines.
