The Department of Health (DOH) Beat COVID-19 Philippine Situationer with data as of August 13 recorded 56 new COVID-19 cases in a day among health workers, bringing the total to 5,815.
The DOH also reported 777 active cases among health workers, reporting 22 cases more than yesterday. Of the active cases, 2 are critical, 4 severe, 574 mild and 197 asymptomatic. In one day, 34 new recoveries were recorded.
A total of 188,666 individuals have tested positive, while the DOH have confirmed 147,526 COVID-19 cases. There is a difference of 41,140 cases that tested positive that the DOH have yet to validate to know whether this number would be included in the confirmed cases. The DOH also reported 8,090 testing backlogs as of August 13–this number is 2,594 fewer than yesterday.
