115 new COVID-19 cases, total active cases among health workers at 4,948 as of July 31

The Department of Health (DOH) Situationer Report with data as of July 31 recorded 115 new confirmed COVID-19 cases among health care workers, bringing the total cases to 4,938 or 5.3% of the cases in the country.

There were 63 active cases were added, bringing the total of active cases among health workers to 356.

After the logged ‘mass recovery’ of 870 health workers on July 30, only 54 recoveries were recorded on July 31. The total recoveries is at 4,544, representing 92% of the total cases among health workers.

The DOH recorded 4,063 new confirmed cases on July 30, beating yesterday’s record-high cases per day of 3,954. The total confirmed cases is at 93,354, while those who have tested positive have reached 136,118. The Health agency also recorded 4,306 testing backlogs, which is 221 more than yesterday.
