(Updated) On May 14, DOH reported the COVID-19 cases among health workers as of yesterday, May 13.
“Kahapon ay wala tayong naitala na kapamilyang health care worker na namatay sa COVID-19,” Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said during a televised briefing.
[Yesterday, we did not record any health care workers who died from COVID-19.]
Vergeire said the number of health workers getting infected with COVID-19 continue to decline.
“Malaking tulong ang ating infection prevention and control measures na striktong pinapatupad ng atin mga ospital,” she said.
[Infection prevention and control measures that are strictly implemented by hospitals have been a big help.]
Health workers that DOH reported to have tested positive include 790 nurses, 652 doctors, 133 nursing assistants, 75 medical technologists, 40 radiologic technologists and 219 non-medical staff from health facilities.
